Freddie Boy Aiello

December 23, 2017 — June 2, 2026

Freddie Boy jumped into our hearts unexpectedly in October 2018, when we walked him out of the Humane Society he made it clear it was not up for negotiation. He was coming home with us. That was that.

He was labeled a Jack Russell mix, which turned out to be one of the great mysteries of his life, solved eventually by a DNA test revealing he was, in fact, a Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher. A tiny, perfect imposter.

Freddie Boy rode across the country twice and countless times from Logan to Salt Lake without complaint, sleeping comfortably in our laps, completely unbothered. He moved with his people 9 times in his short life, and was at home in all of them. Because home, for Freddie, was never a place. It was his people.

He loved pizza with a devotion that bordered on spiritual. His bark could be described as more of a moo, which his family found both confusing and incredibly unique. He cuddled like it was his life's work, because it was.

When the twins arrived on his very own birthday. Freddie stepped into the role of guardian without being asked. He stayed close during the hardest nights. He never left mom’s side. He understood exactly what was needed. He gave it every single day.

He was not just a dog. He was a friend. A soft, warm, ridiculous, irreplaceable friend.

Freddie Boy is survived by his mom, Whitney, and his dad, Christian who loved him more than he probably even knew. He is survived by two little humans who will grow up hearing every single story and Benny, who will miss his big but little brother. There are so many other humans and fellow dogs who love and miss him dearly.

He left too soon, and too suddenly, and that will hurt for a long time. But he lived fully. He loved completely. And somewhere right now, there is a warm sunny spot and a slice of pizza, and Freddie Boy Aiello has both.

Our little goober. The best boy. Always.
