Ghost Maafu

d. March 7, 2024

Ghost or as we loved to call him, “Ghosty”or “Handsome Boy” crossed the rainbow bridge Thursday, March 7th, 2024.
Born August 31st, 2022, in West Jordan, UT. Ghosty was the son
of Blue and Xena, and a couple months later was adopted by the Ma’afu/Tuiaki families.
He is survived by his “hooman” parents who were present at his birth—his brudders, sissy’s and many uncles and aunts who adored him. Ghost’s favorite activities were playing in the snow but not so much the rain, watching the neighborhood kids play through the window, cuddling up to his “hooman” siblings on the couch even though he knew he wasn’t allowed on the couch, howling(singing) for his family, sticking his nose in the air anytime he was around the kitchen, protecting his “hooman” family and trips to the dog park with his big cousin Monte and play dates with his best brother Azul. Ghost loved mealtime his favorite was pork and raw chicken with pumpkin puree and was the best boy always sitting patiently until we said “Eat!”—pickleball balls, sticks, sunbathing and his big sissy’s stuffed animals and also being an escape artist as soon as he knew what his long nails could do in the yard. Ghost always loved going to his Grandma and Grandpa's house, where he could get treats, annoy his big cousin Monte and get spoiled by his aunts.
Though he was earth-side for a short time he was our overprotective, bright-eyed, smart boy and we loved him so much. We will think of him every time the sun shines through the house because that’s where we’d find him asleep or when we’re cooking and he would be in the way sitting right at our feet. We will miss him when it’s 10pm because that was his bedtime. He will be forever missed and forever remembered.
In honor of the love and loyalty Ghost gave his family we ask that you give all your pups some extra love and treats in honor of Ghosty.
