In Loving Memory of Marvinita

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our beloved cat Marvinita, who graced our lives with 17 years of love and companionship. Marvinita was more than just a pet; she was a cherished member of our family, bringing endless joy and laughter into our home. She has a special place in the heart of Andee, who had Marvinita at her side most of her life.

Marvinita was our neighbor’s barn cat who decided our woodshed looked better than their barn. She even had her litter of kittens in our woodshed and eventually adopted us as her family. With her soft gray fir and playful spirit, Marvinita enchanted all who knew her. Whether she was curled up on our laps, or meowing proudly as she carried her pink mouse toy around the house, her presence brought warmth and comfort to our hearts.

Marvinita's favorite thing to eat was any food we were holding in our hands, even if it wasn’t food at all, she always had to see if we were holding something delicious to eat. She was especially happy when we’d give her a saltine cracker which always made us laugh. One of our favorite things about Marvinita was that she rubbed her face against soft blankets, just as Andee did as a youngster. It was so darling to us that they had this in common.

Two of Marvinita’s kittens named Grace and Lydia are still at home and will miss their momma. We will all miss her and her sweet nature. Though she may no longer be by our side, her memory will live on in the countless cherished memories we shared together.

Rest in peace, sweet Marvinita. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
