It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Salem, a long-haired domestic black cat who brought immense joy into our lives. Salem departed from us today, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in our hearts.

So much of our lives with pets is about their presence and physical interaction. When they are gone our entire perception of our world is changed. A soul frequently in our orbit is no longer there, we have no one we absent-mindedly scratch while watching TV, there are no footsteps around the house. You walk into empty rooms…

Salem was not just a cat; he was a true adventurer at heart. He adored hiking and swimming, finding delight in exploring the great outdoors alongside his human companions. Salem was also a unique feline who shared a special bond with his daddy , enjoying outings together, even accompanying him on shopping trips to Target, where his charismatic presence never failed to charm everyone he met.

Beyond his adventurous spirit, Salem was a social butterfly, spreading his affection to everyone he encountered. His playful antics and affectionate purrs brightened our days and created lasting impressions on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Salem, you were more than a pet; you were family. Your playful spirit, unwavering companionship, and unconditional love have left an indelible mark on our lives. Though you are no longer with us in person, your memory will continue to live on in our hearts forever.
